Abrachan Pudussery (Aby) is a highly experienced project management professional with more than three decades of experience in professional project management (both Agile and Predictive). He worked for project based organizations and product based organizations before founding Project Management Research Institute (PMRI), focused on project management training,consulting and research. As part of PMRI, he was successful in imparting professional project management training to more than fifteen thousand professionals. He was also successful in transitioning several project teams from predictive project management to agile project management. He is the main architect of the PMg-CMM (Project Manager’s Capability Maturity Model). He is the author of the PMdistilled Guide.
Projects are unique, so must be the processes followed to manage them. This professional conviction prompted him to research the globally accepted professional project management frameworks of both agile and predictive genre, with an intent to blend them together (hybrid) for project’s success.
He is also part of the senior management team at Wrench Solutions, the makers of SmartProject tool which is used in more than 9000+ projects globally. his mission in wrench is to enable the existing and potential customers, to leverage the potential of ‘SmartProject’ by educating them about the globally accepted project management best practices supported by the product. Wrench Academy is established with this in mind, and he is in charge of it. At wrench he has conducted in-depth research in EPC project best practices.
He was also a visiting faculty at XIME (Xaviers Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship)
Holds a Masters degree in Quality Management from BITS Pilani, Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from MSRIT, Bangalore. In his pursuit to understand globally accepted project management practices, he got certified as PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, CSP and PMI-ACP.
